Why Should Honesty Be A Part of the Service.
The Foundations of my Brand Voice — Part Two: Transparency
There’s something I believe deeply, so I will write this, as if you are looking to book me, but in reality this is something that you should be looking for when booking a hair and makeup artist.
Booking a bridal and event makeup artist should never feel over whelming or confusing.
Not the process.
Not the pricing.
Not the expectations.
You are already planning a significant moment. The last thing you need is uncertainty layered on top.
Honesty is something I expect and just a small part of the service I give
It Always Begins With a Conversation
Before brushes, before products, before timelines — we talk.
I offer a no-obligation phone call because I want to understand you properly. Not just the date and the venue, but how you want to feel. Calm? Polished? Effortless? Refined? What kind of makeup woman are you? How do you want to feel, and to work out if your vison is this achievable, etc
You also need to feel comfortable with me.
You’re inviting someone into an important, often intimate space on your day. That matters.
That first conversation isn’t a sales pitch. It’s about alignment. If we’re right for each other, we’ll both know. After all, as humans, we are not meant to vibe with everyone, and thats ok
Sharing Ideas — With Clarity
Once we move forward, we share inspiration properly.
Images. References. Textures. Tones. Lighting. Dress details.
Not to copy someone else’s face — but to understand the direction, the mood, the energy you’re drawn to.
Part of my role is to interpret those ideas through the lens of your skin tone, your features, your setting, and the reality of how makeup performs under natural light, flash photography, and long hours.
Sometimes I’ll gently explain why something may need adjusting. Not to dismiss your vision — but to refine it, and showing you something that will work
Honesty creates better results than flattery ever could.
The Trial — Where Trust Builds
This is more for my brides. the trial is where everything settles.
You’ll sit in my chair and feel seen, heard and relaxed as I create the look you were born to wear. Candle is lit, music is on in the back ground and we tend to share a funny moment or a joke, as laughter can always been heard coming from my studio.
We adjust. We refine. We step back and look again.
We discuss how it feels — not just how it photographs.
You’ll leave knowing exactly what to expect on the day.
No surprises. No guesswork.Just confident
Clear Pricing. Clear Structure.
Investment should never feel awkward. So many people I know cant have conversations about money. This is silly as I see money as a fabulous energy that flows between people. Yes some times the service you want isnt within your budget, but sometimes it is. It really does boil down to what is important to you and how you want to feel, no one is right or wrong or too expensive.
My pricing reflects years of experience, high-performance products, preparation time, and the calm structure I bring to your event.
You will receive:
Clear written pricing
Transparent deposit terms
A defined timeline
Honest advice about how many faces can realistically be completed
Guidance if an assistant would be beneficial
No sliding numbers.
No hidden additions.
No last-minute “extras” appearing quietly on the invoice.
Luxury is not confusion.
Luxury is clarity delivered with elegance.
Expectations — Managed With Care
Honesty also means being clear about what creates the best outcome.
Makeup lasts beautifully when:
Makeup can enhance, sculpt, lift, refine illuminate, and make you feel AMAZING
It cannot override humidity entirely — although I do give it a very determined attempt.
A little humour helps on wedding mornings.
But structure helps more.
What This Means for You
If you’re searching for a makeup artist for your big event, you’re not just looking for skill.
You’re looking for reassurance, someone you can vibe with.
Someone who will guide you honestly.
Explain clearly.
Deliver consistently.
And create a look that feels like you — only elevated.
When you sit in my chair, the aim is simple:
You feel calm, seen and heard
You feel understood, and relaxed
You feel quietly confident.that you are going to glow with elegnace and confidence
Because transparency doesn’t reduce luxury.
It strengthens it.
Experience was first. Honesty follows naturally at creating the vision of my brand voice.
Timeless. Assured. Elegant.
